A: AEPro trainings are designed so that people with demanding schedules can participate in the learning experience as fully as possible. When you register for an AEPro workshop, you will be placed in a cohort of participants who will start the training on the same day. One the training has begun, you and your fellow participants will be given a series of weekly assignments that will continue through the training cycle. . In the main, participant communication takes place on the bulletin boards and via electronic mail, and is done at the convenience of the participant. Some of the trainings ake advantage of our shared whiteboard and chat room, both of which require everyone to be on line to make the most effective use of the tool. This activity constitutes less than 5% of training participation Q: What kind of certificate or credit can I get? A: Each AEPro course is designed to provide the educational experience of a 12-hour workshop. When all of the modules including the evaluation have been marked completed by the participant, a digital certificate of completion will be issued. This certificate will reflect the 12 hours of effort necessary to complete the modules. The certificate will be delivered to the email address supplied by the participant at registration. Upon receipt of an optional $10.00 fee, participants can also receive one (1) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit. Printed certificates can be made available upon request. Q: How late can I register? A: The deadline for registration is five business days before the start of class. Q: How does AEPro work for individuals? A. First, review the technical requirements necessary to participate in our training. Then review the list of upcoming courses on the right hand navigation bar. Each course title is linked to a brief description of the training available. Then either click on the Register Today link at the bottom of the course list, or click on the Register button to the left. Once you have registered for your training you will recieve a personal e-mail from our registration staff confirming your registration and including an invoice. Payment instructions will be included in the confirmation letter. About five days before class starts, you will receive login information for our distance education server. There will be a short "Tech Check," which will verify that your local workstation will support our system. Once you have completed the Tech Check, you can log in and start learning! Q. How does AE Pro work for programs? A. First, pick the course that you would like to offer in your state. Second, Obtain a course facilitator (this could be a staff development person in your state... we'll train them free). OR.. a facilitator can be provided for your course at an additional fee. Third, choose the dates you would like the course offered. Fourth, provide us with the participant names. We'll set up registration, process the Tech Check, and then you're ready to go. The courses are purchased through AE Pro and offered to your state practitioners. |
